-In the beginning, the two despised each other. When Amelie would criticize Gabriel on his tactics and tell him that his work was sloppy, it would drive him insane. Her cold nature and harsh criticism pushed him to a point where he felt threatened by her.

-Once things finally boiled over and they began sleeping together, they both made it abundantly clear that they still hated one another and that this thing that they had going on between them was nothing more than a way to let off some steam.

-They kept up the façade of mutual hatred for months in the Talon HQ, and no one suspected a thing. As a matter of fact, various agents were afraid to be in the room when they were together, fearing that one day they were both going to lose it and end up killing each other.

-Neither of them noticed it at first, but the more time that Amelie spent around Gabriel, the more she started to feel again. Slowly but surely, she began to have emotion once again. It was no where near what any other normal human being would feel, but none the less, she was progressing.

-Not only was Amelie becoming more human, so was Gabriel. He didn’t realize how shut off he had become, but seeing Amelie come around also changed him. He hadn’t care for another person in God only knows how long, and for some reason, the ruthless sniper would be his first in many years.

-Somehow, the two were getting assigned on more and more missions together. Neither of them complained though, mainly because it gave them someone to keep each other company while they waited for hours, if not days, on a target to be out in the open. The higher ups realized that the two made a great pair and now almost all of their missions are together.

-Gabriel and Amelie can now appreciate one another for who they are, and sometimes take a page from each other’s book from time to time. Amelie helps to calm Gabriel’s hot temper and tell him exactly how to hurt the enemy in the long run rather than running off of whatever emotion he’s feeling in the moment. Gabriel helps her to feel once again and is able to see through her in a way that no one else possibly could.
